DESCRIPTION
We had to choose 5 artists from any genre of music, and find pictures of them with 5 different instruments. With those pictures we had to digitally paint them with brushes and then combine all 5 digital paintings and create a single painting with all 5 artists and a banner than had the genre of music written across it. We had to use the brush tool, the color picker tool, and the magnifier tool on each picture so we could precisely color each section.
PERSONAL GOAL
My personal goal was to do as much as I could in the time given. I wasn’t very precise in my coloring, I just tried to finish as many artists as I could. But I ultimately did not manage my time well enough, and because of too many absences, I did not complete the entire project. I barely managed to finish two, let alone two that were done well.
DIFFICULTIES
This project was probably the most difficult project for me this whole year. There were just too many things to be done and I was absent for half of the days we were given to complete the project. If I could have worked on them at home I would have, but Photoshop isn’t installed on my home computer. Secondly, painting 5 artists precisely takes a lot of time. I used 3-4 class times fully and only got 2 artists complete. And because I was running out of time, I rushed through both of them to finish at least some of the artists. It was the worst project for me, I didn’t accomplish what I set out to do.
